Miami FC Brings Big-League Vision to Homestead with $300M Stadium Project
By banquillo Editorial Staff.
Miami FC is planting deep roots in South Florida with an ambitious plan that could reshape the region’s soccer landscape. On September 18, 2025, the club announced it will anchor a brand-new Sports Performance Hub (SPH) in Homestead, a $300 million, 80-acre development that blends professional facilities with community access.
At the heart of the project is a 15,000-seat stadium, a purpose-built home that will finally give Miami FC a venue of its own after years of playing at FIU. The design, by LaBella Associates, emphasizes modern lines and fan-friendly amenities, making it one of the most significant soccer infrastructure projects in Florida since Inter Miami’s DRV PNK Stadium.
But the vision stretches well beyond matchdays. The SPH will include:
- A professional training academy to nurture Miami FC’s talent pipeline
- A youth boarding school, bridging academics and elite development
- Public sports facilities, opening the doors to the wider Homestead community
- A sports-themed hotel, turning the site into a year-round destination
The City of Homestead sealed the deal with an 80-year ground lease, underscoring its commitment to making the SPH a long-term landmark. For Miami FC, it’s more than a stadium, it’s a chance to re-establish the club as a serious player in South Florida’s soccer culture at a time when the sport is booming.
Questions remain about construction timelines and logistics, but one thing is clear: Homestead is now part of the soccer conversation.
